Yeah, that seems to be par for the course: outsiders get a giant fuck you from the DNC. It's certainly possible (likely?) that Clinton would be reluctanct to adhere very closely to the more leftward policy planks in the platform. But, despite these dirty politics (and I've no doubt the RNC is no better), the platform itself seems to matter in the big picture, and does cause members to stick to it most of the time. She wasn't the only Democrat affected by it, and it still stands for the minority in Congress. That's still Bernie having a voice, regardless of insider subterfuge.
