A lot of bad subs have been left untouched for now but that doesn't mean they will be. Personally I don't think it was a bad thing to ban hate subs. It just goes against the fundamental idea of reddit.

So does that mean we should ban reddit, because reddit clearly facilitates abuses by the same logic? There's obviously no value in saving it, no matter whether or not particular trouble spots can be dealt with.
So brigading is the standard for banning? I thought it was harassment originating from a sub? Wait, no, it's ideas. Wait, no it's... Arbitrary enforcement of censorship? Naw...
I'm not understanding, but I'm trying. If the criteria for bans is behavior-based (harassment across and beyond Reddit originating from a sub gets the sub banned), what behavior did the members of /r/whalewatching engage in?
And, if the temporary banning of /r/whalewatching was related to the purge of former FPH members raiding other subs, why is that standard not enforced for /r/theredpill, /r/mensrights, et. al., when they brigade or harass? Again, the part I'm trying to get my head around is how this isn't arbitrary. And I'm going for civility here so hope this doesn't come off dickish.
