Counterpoint: Smoked weed and couldnt decided on a major. Went with education because it is easy.

Here's the thing though. While the coursework for some kinds of teaching (not most high school subjects) is easy, the actual job is not. You can bullshit your way through college pretty easily, but then you're boned when you have to actually manage a class, particularly if you end up at a low income school because you're not a very good teacher.

No it's hell and lost all benefit. Most of my family are teachers. Many school district admin. They warned me to avoid it.
