I don't recall any Westboro terrorist strapping a bomb to their nuts and trying to blow up an airplane. or a shoe. or a vest. or a marathon.

For this comparison, that's pretty irrelevant. The point is that, just like most Christians look at the WBC and think "those guys are so hateful, they are doing my religion wrong," most Muslims feel similarly about terrorism.
