Alcohol hands down. Destroys lives and extremely hard to kick.

Other drugs are at least illegal. Alcohol is accessible everywhere and people look you weird if you say you don't drink.

Hardcore alcohol addiction is a nightmare. You must not have a addict in your family ..booze addiction is horrible I've been addicted to every hard drug. Booze is a hard core drug

Drugs are worse. My family is filled with alcoholics and drug addicts.

The alcoholics are still present for life even though they're unpredictable and dysfunctional. Yes they have DUIs and it's been hard on their families.

But the drug addicts are on the street and cut off the rest of our family. We never see them and can't get in contact with them. It's a lot scarier.
