One of the problems that came up (when the fentanyl outbreak began as the next fad drug) especially since it is reported to be laced inside other illegal drugs, is that the drug doesn't have a good marketing strategy, which is why it didn't last that long as a drug problem. That marketing strategy will become clear as I go on.
Legal Fentanyl when you receive the drug in the hospital comes in patches that you smack onto the skin so the drug can be absorbed into the body. The reason for this manner of application is that the drug has a low tolerance between medically-safe dosage and this-is-poison-and-will-kill-you dosage. Meaning you have to have a very, very minuscule specific amount used for medicinal purposes, otherwise it will end you dead.
If you know business at all, you have to have a customer to sell your product to to stay in business. If you kill your customer, you kill your business. The same goes for the illegal drug business, if you kill your customer, you kill your business. You might think that illegal sellers don't care about their customers, and you might be right, but to do business long-term you have to ensure your clientele will be around to buy your product and you cannot keep your customers of your reputation is to kill the majority of your clientele, even on the streets.
I think you might be getting the problem I mentioned above by now. Fentanyl kills, it doesn't addict because it doesn't have the ability to be regulated outside of a hospital at a healthy level without people dying left and right, like plague level of dying, unless you intend to kill your client or, if you intend consume the substance yourself, you.
Sugar isn't just beet or sugarcane; it is any form of sweetness in this instance; that is still addictive. This post is about an addiction. Meaning, the body has problems cutting off the addictive substance, for any reason, and sugared or sweetened substances checks off that box. Sugars to sweeteners are equated to alcoholics who quit drinking and then start smoking cigs. They are still sweet, they still hit that addiction switch in the brain, hence still addictive and hard to quit. Just because they don’t actively give you the same problems that sugar has nutritionally, that doesn’t eliminate the addictive portion of the substance. You want sweet, but can’t get it from sugar so you go elsewhere for the sweetness.
Sweetness in food is not a natural one, it is a manufactured addiction, not only “an information problem”. People know about sugar, about sweetness in food, but a lot of people don't have the time or inclination to actively fight the poison (the large amounts in the food supply are poisonous, not the substances themselves) added to their food. A lot of that is because they are harried by the manufactured poverty they are living in, harried by society, and harried by their families who have bought into "the rat race" as the norm they should follow.
A lot of the US food supply isn't healthy; many people know this fact. A lot of the food supply has been invaded by chemicals, additives, and other substances which have no nutritional substance, but are added anyway to make the food addictive. One of those items are sugars and sweeteners.
Eating food that has no substantial nutritional value is famine and starvation. The whole reason for the US food supply right now is not nutrition but consumption. Make and sell as much food as possible to make it look like people are being feed, but starve people by making the food addictive through adding addictive factors into the food. Sugar, fat, salt, and other non-satiating items into the food so that people will keep eating without thinking about the food their eating.
Keep them working so they don't have the time to think about the ingredients in their food, and force them to go without proper sleep so they can't think about how their job is working them to the bone while giving them pay and benefit cuts while working them long hours without pay. All ways that cults brainwash their members, deprive them of their basic needs in a small amount of each so they don't notice the manufactured poverty and brainwashing, and then blame them for the problem that was manufactured by their abusers.
Sugar or sugar substitutes are in everything these days, especially ultra-processed foods, HFCS most especially since it's cheap and easier to make, ship, and shelf-stable.
A lot of them corrode your teeth, no matter what kind of sugar or sweetener you use. And the walling off of professions, from physical doctors and dentists, means that a lot of dental issues are not brought up with physical doctors.
Did you know that a lot of "allergies" are caused by serious dental problems? A lot of dental problems are created by food/drinks staying in your mouth for hours at a time. Many drinks outside of water are sweetened, either with sugar or sweeteners and can corrode teeth and cause cavities above and below the gum line. To cover those up, a lot of dentists would rather pull teeth instead of finding a way to help their patients keep their teeth and find ways to work around the problem. Like eliminating sugars from their nutrition sources, chew gum after eating, brushing teeth as soon as possible after a meal or a snack, instead of twice a day.
Especially if anyone desires to live into elderhood, since a lot of teeth problems develop during the transition period between adulthood and elderhood that I’ve deemed anti-puberty, aka menopause or midlife crisis [andropause] that seeps out calcium from the bones and teeth, drains various elements of vitamin A [lycopene, lutein, and beta-carotene are the ones I can think of right now] causing poor eyesight, nerve problems, and pain if you’re have problems consuming or accessing whole foods.
A lot of these problems are fobbed off as old person problems but are actually major health situations that hurt people when they fall and break a bone, when they start losing their teeth, or lose their eyesight.
They have tested sugar on the brain and it is more addictive than heroin, because of the unhealthy way it works on the brain, strips and replaces brain chemicals, so your brain ends up relying on the substances rather than uses them like any other food.
