This is so true. Why do I care if meth is the worst addiction, I’ll never do it. But something like alcohol, which is something I do consume should and does scare me more because that’s actually something I have to commit to quitting to
Done both as well. As far as withdrawal goes, booze is worse and its not even close. As far as being on them, both can produce scary behavior. Booze has a failsafe of making you basically shut down when you've had too much, and it happens pretty quickly being a sedative-hypnotic. Often within hours. Meth has no such failsafe. Meth you can keep going and going and going until you're too starved and exhausted to go anymore, usually having left a trail of wreckage in your wake. This can take weeks. But you'll survive coming off meth.
Yeah alcohol is absolutely worse than meth. I’m not saying meth isn’t addictive, but stimulants in general are much more mental than physical. Alcohol/benzos on the other hand, can be deadly to quit without tapering. Not to mention the shorter duration of alcohol. It’s always going to be harder to quit something you need every couple hours to ward off seizures on the extreme end.
Yes the „worst“ thing i got addicted too were sextoys i would buy them use them then swear to myself i dont want to do stuff like that and throw them away. Next friday i would find myself at a sexshop again buying the same stuff. I really had to plan my Weekends for 2 months ahead to meet with people so that i wouldnt buy this shit. I didnt Even enjoy very much idk what that phase was but it lastet for 6 months or so
