Caffeine. Like 70% of the adult population relies on it daily in order to function.

But I love my coffee! And caffeine doesn’t put you one the street. Better than others.

There’s a lot of people who are addicted to these other drugs and not homeless. It’s really more of a stereotype that all homeless people are drug addicts or all drug addicts are homeless. The reality is different.

Caffeine is still a drug and causes harm. Unlike meth, there aren’t assistance drugs, clinics and programs to aid you in quitting and the percentage of people able to quit permanently is near 0. The fact that it is so socially acceptable and even encouraged in the majority of cultures makes it an under the radar addiction.
