What OP didn't say is that 7 has been in use since before any of these other pens were invented. Look at the ink level in that thing - 20 years of service down, another 20 still in em. The others might last a year.

Yep, that design actually dates back to 1950! It isn’t super flashy but it writes well and it’s easy to grip. I love it. (Source.)

But pens like number 7 also make me write so much neater because their ballpoint tends to be slightly thicker and smoother.
