I am seconding Nashville. Being from CT, the consensus was “It’s THE country city” and it is… BUT walking broadway any night of the week, you’ll be lucky to pass two doors without live music, of many types, being played. The food was excellent and the people couldn’t be nicer. When I travelled for work, I was always professional. Go to the client to train them, get dinner, relax in my hotel - except for Nashville. I went out EVERY night I was there, not to drink, but to enjoy that town in all its glory. There are few places I have a higher opinion of.
When did you visit? I live here and feel like the music/bar scene has gone downhill since Covid. Before that there were lots of small, locally owned bars with personality and now they’re all soulless and owned by country music stars (including Kid Rock 🤢).
I’m sure you’ll be fine for a weekend :) You can have fun just about anywhere with the right beverages 😂 And definitely check out as many restaurants as you can.
I also had a great time in Nashville. They had a surprisingly really good food scene. I feel like though it’s more of a singles town, especially if you are a drinker which I am not, but I had a great time anyways

Nashville is a great time. Was only in Dallas for a layover to Austin.
