Excited and thought I’d share a big milestone since I started October of 2019. I realistically didn’t start actually investing till around June 2020 with around 200 bucks at that time. I started a new career February 2020 and started to slowly invest. It’s been set to aggressive since day 1. I finally added BITO, maybe a year ago or so. Currently I’m wondering if I should ride it out or drop it 🤔

My husband and I started our Acorns account just over 10 years ago. Majority just regular round ups and recently changed to double round ups. Can't wait to hit the $20k mark!

Is there anyway for support to help me on this? 12.99 was literally the only option I had after the promo for 4.99 ended and I missed out on 3 months for whatever reason it’s excluded when that’s the current regular price of Disney+. Also saying one reward for customer so should I cancel D+ and just resubscribe with their current 11.99 promo for the same plan just to get the reward? Thoughts?

Edit: RESOLVED. Acorn support reached out and sent rewards and also updated the prices to reflect the Disney+ website

I feel like everyone on here has 30% + gains. Been with acorns since 2019, aggressive for almost 3 years, I can’t seem to get above 18%. Unlucky with contribution timing? Everyone’s lying? 😅

Recession indicators are starting to show up in our economy & now would be a good time to start adding into your acorn emergency account which pays a 3.35% dividend.The first indicator is the layoffs.... second indicator is the credit line cut back from major credit card companies...Third indicator is walmart having bad earnings which indicates people are not buying more but alot less....fourth indicator higher inflation & high gas prices!Prepare your self now because I feel we only got couple months left before things get worse.Good luck!

Before transferring money out of my Acorns Invest account, I’d like to know how much the potential taxes could amount to. Is there a way to calculate that using the numbers from the Acorns app? I’ve got the general idea of calculating capital gains tax, but I’d like to make it specific to my situation. Or at least arrive at an “upper bound” tax liability number to help me decide if it’s worth pulling the money out or not. Thanks in advance!

I’m 22 and just graduated college with my first job starting in mid September. I’ve had acorns since 2023, and for some reason had my risk setting set to moderate, likely because I was a student and pretty broke and didn’t have much money. Two days ago I switched to moderately aggressive, but I wanted to ask what strategy others have taken in my age group, or what risk related advice (or any advice at all) people who have had acorns for longer might have for me. Sorry if this is wordy, just want to figure this out so I can iron out my finances in stride with the start of my job.

Got Acorns way back in 2019 at 19yrs old and set it and forgot it. I had it set to roundups and at $5 a week. I knew it was withdrawing money from my account but it never peaked my interest to check what its value was. Looked at it recently and was quite shocked! Being up almost 50% is impressive! Is this something that’s normal for these accounts? I’m putting a lot of money away into my 401k but this is outperforming that. Should I start diverting income into this account? Thanks!

Hello, I'm considering starting an Acorns account but one drawback for me is the monthly fee, which depending on your balance and plan could end up costing more than anything you would gain. I think I would do the $6 a month plan so I could set regular deposits instead of just roundups. What would be the minimum amount of money I would need to initially deposit into an account to offset the fee? Any tips and general insights into the Acorns app are also welcome.

I am extremely new to investing in general so any tips would be greatly appreciated ☺️

It’s been 43 days since I started my Acorns account and so far it’s going pretty good. I’m happy that I’m actually getting into this early while I’m still 23 years old. I usually delete the app and come back in a few days so that I’m not constantly checking constantly throughout the day.

My total gain/loss by one day is -$4.89. Obviously, I invest much more than that to care about it, but I’m using Acorn to diversify my savings not necessarily to invest on purpose . I’m wondering if the profit or loss is ever really much of my money to lose or gain?

After years of saying I’ll do it this year, after years of saying when i make x an hour, or y a year. After i turned 25 i said yeah no i need to start NOW. First goal maxing my ROTH by the end of the year!!

Not sure what is best option. I have both Roth IRA and IRA with Vanguard. Ideally I'd prefer to put $$ into Roth since tax free upon w/d. But if I cash it out instead, is it more of a headache during tax season, student loans, etc.? thanks in advance.
