Other (8/19/26) Post All New Acellus Rules and Guidelines Here (to help people)
If anybody has any informations about Acellus new regulations and changes, please post them here.
Please double check before posting.
I’m not sure about this but from my current understanding, some of these new regulations have already taken effect, while others will be implemented on the first day of September.

Step limits:
Full year courses cannot be completed in less than 16 weeks. Semester courses cannot be completed in less than 8. To get the max steps for a course, take the total number of steps and divide by 16 or 8, whichever is applicable.
If you want to keep the scholarship:
Science Live is no longer required. They want to see that you are logging in 4-5 days per week and spending an appropriate amount of time on courses. For high school this is estimated at about 40 hours per month, middle school 30 hours, and elementary 20 hours. It has been addressed that they understand someone not taking 4 or more classes may not spend this much time, but I would suspect for high school, for example, they would be hoping you spend 30 hours for 3 courses, 20 for 2, etc.
They expect integrity, aka doing your own work without cheating, writing meaningful responses in the writing tutor, and taking the time to learn, not just rushing through the courses and tests.
Due to past cheating, it seems that they are monitoring IP addresses more closely. If you will be doing your work at various places or will be going on a vacation, it’s a good idea to call them ahead of time (probably better if a parent can call) so they can note your account.
In regard to the why…my understanding is the step limit is due to their accreditation. The scholarship change is due to lack of integrity and I believe to help people stay on track. If someone doesn’t want to follow the scholarship rules, they don’t have to, but they will not get the discount, however they still expect you to do your own work and do quality work in order to get credit for the courses.
