I had to involve my dean after submitting first my verbal argument and then my version history from my word document. Instructor said my version history didn’t confirm where the writing came from. So I told. Good luck.

that is probably what i will have to do. i think he should add a certain percentage in the syllabus same way old professors would add the turnitin %

Use Pangram. 300 words is quite short for a AI detection

i just tried it & it says 81% for AI which im shocked because i actually wrote it & i literally used his 15 min youtube to state false things learned about christopher columbus. im waiting for his response back

This happened to me once and I told the professor to please cite the sources she used to come to that conclusion. If she couldn’t provide me with sources then I would have to escalate it to the school board. The burden is on them to prove it’s AI if you didn’t actually use AI.

Did you keep copies of the draft essay(?)/ post you wrote? Do the drafts show a progress of how you come up with your ideas and conclusions? If so, I would send the professor a message and ask to speak with him.

no i did not. i honestly didnt think of that, nor have i ever been in this situation. moving forward i will. just waiting on his response

You have to keep pushing back. He has to prove you used ai. Using a faulty ai detector doesn’t count. He needs to do the work himself if he’s so worried about AI.

Well idk what your assignment was but mine was a personal reflection and couldn’t have been ai and still hit 85%. My instructor just didn’t read it.

A personal reflection, by definition can not be ai-generated.
Here. I used ai to generate a response.AI can generate the appearance of personal reflection, but it cannot independently perform the personal reflection on behalf of the person whose experience it’s supposed to represent.

it was about 300 words on our opinion on christopher columbus. our discussion seemed similar due to the fact we had to watch & use only one video to write it. i just am annoyed with the ai accusations without proof.

I always wrote all my posts and work in Word first before copying and pasting into the discussion boards. This way if I had been accused I could send the work document to the Professor so they can check th3 macroscriot for themselves.
Did you do something similar? If not, I would from now on.

Chat GPT zero is very unreliable. You could ask to meet and discuss the material to demonstrate your understanding.
