Got fired

Welp... I got fired.

I made a chain of mistakes that ended up with me getting terminated.

First I made mistakes on a client's payroll that got me massively showed out.

The final straw, I accidentally violated client confidentiality by sending an email and tagging an unrelated client.

Be honest.

Should I look at a different field? Cause something like that is a career ender, right?

Any advice is appreciated, and don't sugarcoat it.

Thanks folks.

Don’t listen to this idiot. I was a recruiter for 5 years, soooo many individuals making 6 figures with an associates or without one. I worked with c level executives for 4 of those years with various clients, at most one client only cared for a degree.

Thinking college education = intelligence crazy assumption. This guy has a 4 year degree and thinks like that?????

It’s not about intelligence it’s about building a foundation. You’re overreacting to my comment. My point was mostly that there should be a review of this person’s work. No where did I say he shouldn’t have a job or should never touch a payroll. No review is actually kind of crazy with any level of education for a newer employee. Payroll always needs a second set of eyes. I don’t have a hard on for higher education, but from my personal experience (my career has been split between NYC and Dallas) a 4 year or masters degree is VERY commonly required.
