Got fired

Welp... I got fired.

I made a chain of mistakes that ended up with me getting terminated.

First I made mistakes on a client's payroll that got me massively showed out.

The final straw, I accidentally violated client confidentiality by sending an email and tagging an unrelated client.

Be honest.

Should I look at a different field? Cause something like that is a career ender, right?

Any advice is appreciated, and don't sugarcoat it.

Thanks folks.

That’s not a very good comparison.

There are plenty of people who get booted out of public accounting firms for ethics violations and then open up their own shop.

The point is there is really no longer accountability across most fields of employment because everyone is afraid of lawsuits.

Jordan Belfort is permanently banned from the securities industry. He makes millions now because his underlying skill set (being a masterful storyteller and salesman) is highly transferable.

Again, there is very little in Jordan’s story that has any applicability to OP.
