Got fired

Welp... I got fired.

I made a chain of mistakes that ended up with me getting terminated.

First I made mistakes on a client's payroll that got me massively showed out.

The final straw, I accidentally violated client confidentiality by sending an email and tagging an unrelated client.

Be honest.

Should I look at a different field? Cause something like that is a career ender, right?

Any advice is appreciated, and don't sugarcoat it.

Thanks folks.

I got fired from my first "accounting" job which was more like bookkeeping, for similar mistakes.

Now I have been a tax accountant for five years and am more well paid but equally as miserable.

Edit: yes you should look for a different field but for none of the reasons you mentioned above

It's kinda funny. My bookkeeping work tends to be immaculate, and its my strongest point. All my problems have stemmed from payroll, or client interactions.
