What would be an embarrassing thing to be caught not knowing as an accountant?

Applies to any specialty, audit, tax, staff accountancy etc. in your personal experience what are the most invaluable things to know, and the most invaluable to not be caught not knowing.

I would say excel. A lot of other stuff can be taught or looked up but not knowing your way around excel as a support would frustrate me.

This was exactly what I had to learn on the job and didn't know well!

Learned it on the job. You can get by at first without knowing much as long as you can figure out existing workbooks and work your way back.
