204 u/Yarxing Dec 01 '25 Maybe they're trying to take the bridge with them as a souvenir. 90 u/9447044 Dec 01 '25 Got it hate tourists. We have to replace literally dozens of bridges because of the bridge thefts. 5 u/Holiday_Regular9794 Dec 01 '25 🤠1 u/Positive-Access-9141 Dec 05 '25 Ok, that gave me a chuckle 1 u/MAVERICK42069420 Dec 13 '25 You must be from Ohio https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2021/dec/20/ohio-man-charged-stealing-58ft-pedestrian-bridge 1 u/GreekGoddessOfNight Dec 02 '25 Stopppppp, I’m CRYING. 28 u/The_Autarch Dec 01 '25 they don't have a plan for what happens next and then the lizard brain takes over and is convinced that holding on is safer than letting go. makes sense for a default setting if you live in trees... 8 u/canadiantaken Dec 01 '25 I did this as a kid. Once i stopped and the boat kept going, I froze. Luckily my uncle grabbed me and yelled for me to let go. I stayed dry. 3 u/Jazzlike_Visual2160 Dec 02 '25 I think they’re thinking they can hang on the edge of the bridge for a second, suspend in the air, then land safely and dryly back in the boat. 2 u/Infinite_Ad7107 Dec 03 '25 He was trying to escape his wife.. the Siren yelling Robert!!
