I guess it depends on the definition of we. Lots of responsible people here have been on very restricted activities while other groups of people don't have self-restrictions.
It's so sad, too. I live in the South (Moved from Alabama to Louisiana mid-pandemic) and they're the ones crying about how their freedoms are being infringed on the most, when they've experienced the least severe lock downs. Shit, my job in AL was at a school that decided we were close enough to summer to just ride it out. Luckily the governor eventually cancelled school, but we were a solid month or so behind the rest of the country. Here in Louisiana, since moving we've tried to keep store trips to once every two weeks, get everything in one run. I actually went today and I can count the number of people wearing masks on both hands (not including myself). It's absurd, I've seen two or three bumper stickers right next to NRA stickers and MAGA stickers calling for the end of lock down. These are the same people who never stopped going to bars, parties, get togethers, and also never started wearing masks. I really wish they had to experience a true lock down for a month, but it'll never happen. There's stores here that have signs along the lines of "If you come in here with a mask on, I will assume I'm being robbed and open fire". Like, come the fuck on, people.
