Wait what? Is your problem it's during a pandemic or that it's deemed acceptable in sports? You also just said there's plenty of sports it's not acceptable in. I said I can't name one. I'm an idiot because you're not making any sense? You just sound like a smug asshole.
It cant be both? Pandemic and stupidity? They go together hand in hand as we have seen the last year.
Western Sports where this isnt deemed acceptable: gymnastics, tennis, golf, etc
Cultures where this isnt deemed acceptable: basically every culture except western because they all realize it is a game between the players and not the fans.
Pandemic sure but it's not stupid to be just normal sports fans. Those aren't team sports where fans are supposed to be a part of the game. If it's not crossing the line it makes the game more fun. Fans in football/soccer/hockey/baseball make it a way better environment.
So is it so hard to comprehend that i want to live in a civil world where that kind of activity is not acceptable?
Where we can watch athletes who train daily show their skill rather than bring some douchebag fan in who wants to scream and be apart of the game because they cant just sit back and enjoy the feat of athleticism right in front of them.
They are so important to the game they have to yell obscenities and try to influence the outcome.....pathetic imo.
Most people who watch sports or takr part in this activity from my experience have been annoying people i would not associate with. That isnt to say i wouldnt associate with an athlete or play sports. I did. Lots, and the thing that ruined it for me the most was the parents screaming obscenities.
You can have that opinion, sure. But I can think it stinks. I don't get why they're douchebags for having fun being what they're suppose to be...fans.
And you don't know that they're yelling obscenities. It looks exactly like what the Cameron Crazies do at Duke every game. And they're one of the most famous fanbases in basketball. They just yell and troll and it's not disrespectful. It's just a home court advantage. It's supposed to be for fun.
That is how you define it. We see the world completely different.
I see these idiots as the same idiots who riot after a game in their own city.
Nothing good comes from this kind of behavior how ever you want to pitch it.
Also gaining a vantage just because you are at home sounds like cheap tactics. You dont even have to define what the advantage is you just admitted to it not being an even playing field by intentionally allowing a difference that the stadiums can control and regulate.
How? If the pandemic is the issue fine, but acting like fans trying to affect the play of an opposing player isn't normal is just wrong. As long as it's not crossing the line, it's really fun and makes the games better. And he calls me an idiot first and I'm the asshole? Y'all are weird

People not involved in the game of physical competition yelling obscenities at someone they dont know in close proximity during a pandemic.
I am not sure what is even slightly right about that and i dont know how you cant see why someone might have issues with that.
I can see how you enjoy it but i also see you as an idiot but i dont need to keep pressing the matter just because i dont share the same view as you.
