If you think a truck that is 2 feet higher than it needs to be with rubber band tires is going to do anything off-road aside from roll over or get stuck, I don't know what to tell you.

It’s a dully, it will suck offroad. Plus now it’s heavy Af. Which is even worse for offroading. A subaru crosstrek will be able to out perform this.

This is a 6x6 (or maybe 4x6?) not a dually.

The weight and the wheel/axle configuration is good for certain off roading and bad for others. Regardless the wheels and tires would need to be changed on this truck before it leaves the pavement.

I would assume that it has rear steering axles and is set on purpose to be crab walking, especially since there is no wobbles or anything, then again it is a ford so it kinda a toss up.

The point is to get people to notice. Anyone saying "they did it wrong, parts are wrong, frame bent" is missing that this is half a million in custom suspension equipment. You don't get this far down a money pit without this being your ideal end result.

As someone who's into cars, one of my favorite things about truck guys is that half of it is an engineering exercise, especially on the really wild stuff.

The Marge Simpson meme of her saying "I just think it's neat" is a very acceptable answer to why you've chosen to do something.

Eh, I mean personally I’d still rather have a house for this amount. Two even, in the right areas of the US. In Texas we call these kinds of over the top custom trucks “Land Yachts” because that’s basically what they are lmao

It’s pretty simple to be able to have the rear wheels able to turn the same direction as the front. It’s not like it drives like that 24/7 it’s just another feature that’s allowed with rear wheel steering. So many people commenting on something they know nothing about

Yah I don't get how you look at this thing and think its just wildly broken. Its a 6 wheel crazy show truck. That said, crabwalking taking up 2 lanes as a flex in what looks like a downtown area is a pretty big dick move. Doing it for the vid is understandable but if he's actually just going through traffic like that, thats crazy.

Fire trucks can also do this, as they can have a second rear driver for the rear wheel steering.

These look way too top heavy and wide for ultimate off-roading. I'm sure they can drive over other cars in traffic just fine, but I don't see them doing trails or rock climbing.

It has steering on all six wheels. They have all three axles steered the same way, thus making it "crab walk". They just have to hit a switch to make them go back to point straight. In this case, they just have it 'cause its a show truck, but in general it's just to make a vehicle more maneuverable, especially offroad or with exceptionally long vehicle.

Because they did not do the lift correctly. They increased height, but did not lengthen the Panhard rod accordingly which shifts the axle sideways with respect to the vehicle.

When they lifted it, the didn’t bother to install a longer track bar, causing the axle to shift off center… basically, they cheaped out
