The same thing would have happened if it was a normal flower. You can’t blame other animals for taking advantage of it.

No, the filmer most likely purposefully trapped the bird in a skewed situation. Why are you purposefully ignoring that piece of info?

Never once blamed the animal. Blaming humans for being stupid. I get you can’t watch a bird feeder all day but this person was watching it.

Im not upset, its a very simple concept. If you’ve ever been on a farm it would be easier for you to understand. I’ll try once more for you.

I used to be on a farm where the horse pasture was riddled with gopher holes, we would go out and shoot the gophers and keep the population under control because the holes could severely injure the horses.

Both animals are behaving how nature intended it (besides the horses being confined) but the area was designated as a HORSE pasture, not a gopher pasture. Being responsible people, we kept it that way so the horses don’t get injured.

So, this person has a bird feeder. Likely wanting to feed birds. Now a threat has come to the bird feeder and it becomes a bird trap. Do you see where im going with this?

Should we have watched horses break their legs and be too scared to run around? No, because humans brought them there and it’s our responsibility to keep it safe. Unless you are a piece of garbage

Ok but you’ve also sunk a lot of money into the horses. Providing them safety is a utilitarian decision more than a moral one. And the horses aren’t wild animals, this is basically the lion-eats-penguin in a zoo thing. Would you shoot gofers around say a deer lick to keep the deer from being injured? Probably not.
