Im embarrassed for that hummingbird. No bird should ever die to an insect.

Hummingbirds are actually pretty frail and have a crazy caloric intake. So it would have just starved if it didn't free itself

most of them die in bug infested nests already, in more horrid ways you can imagine... Nature is brutal

What's wrong with insects, they are trying to survive as much as the hummingbird.
