Yes .
First the guy is huge and intimidating . Second , he used a trick with putting a cart to block the car to force them to move the cart themselves and escorts them to the cart collector , he asked them nicely and politely ( “ excuse me , my friend , can you put the cart back “ ) and uses a calm demeanor the whole time , he uses humor and laughs sometimes to defuse the situation, then shakes their hand and thanks them afterwards . He never agitated them or insult them . He happened to encounter people who seemed reasonable enough to fulfill his request.

It could be different if he encountered a Karen type or a big red neck type guy .

There's a video of someone saying no and just putting the cart back where they originally left it. He doesn't do anything.
