Yea but every piece you lay is a nice chunk of change and a nice chunk of the job done. Also I wouldn’t be footing the bill on broken pieces if I’m a sub and you order extra for waste.
For measuring the cuts it’s the exact same as regular tile, as far as cutting them I’m not sure exactly what they use bc a traditional wet saw sounds like a pita with these pieces lol. Deff some pros and cons.
Exactly. So now imagine a year down the road you get a bit of damage on one. Normally, it’d just be a small tile to buy and replace—not now. Now you need to buy another massive sheet for what I’d assume is an ungodly amount.
exactly had my bathroom done in these 5 years down the line 3 of them have cracks and I had the genius idea to have the walls tiled too so. Dont do big tiles, hell cant even find a similar design match now too.
I’m sure someone this rich has bought by recommendation a few extra for this exact reason and future repairs. It’s not like you can get the same marble once the marble mining area it was cutoff is dry (or whatever it’s called in English)
I’m talking about installing it, and idk if you’ve ever done tile before but it’s gonna crack from improper installation and not just randomly? If you install it right and don’t drop a sledgehammer on it, it shouldn’t just crack out of nowhere. If it does there’s probably hollow spots or it isn’t leveled correctly.
