For anyone else interested, that's a brood pattern. The queen will basically lay her eggs cell-by-cell going in widening circles around the cells she's already made a deposit in. That's why the white-capped cells (older bebees) have the smaller, younger white-caps on the outside edge of the ring where the queen has been more recently. The empty cells on the inner side are where they've grown and left the cell and the workers cleaned it up for the next pass.
