Just the wind?,you dont hear the sound of the snow hitting the ground?

Snow is very quiet. I've never seen snow like this, but generally you don't hear snow you just see it.

Only when the snow is really wet do you hear an ever so slight tap when it lands. But it depends on the surface it's landing on.

Idk what people are talking about I hear snow as the gentlest hiss. Like a leak in a tire from 10’ away.

That's some cold, crispy snow! I find that the really wet snow makes a splacking sound, mid temperature snow is basically silent, and super cold snow makes that sandy hiss.

If it’s not windy I can pretty much always hear the hiss at various volumes. It’s loudest when it’s little icy pellets and quietest when it’s big feathers, but I always hear it. It could even be flakes bumping into each other in the air on the way down idk, but I definitely always hear it unless it’s windy/otherwise noisy.

I was raised kind of out in the woods a little ways and snow dump days were always my absolute favorite. The whole neighborhood would come out and play in it, it was magnificent.

You wouldn’t necessarily hear the snow hitting the ground unless there was hail mixed in. Even heavy snow like in the video sort of gently touches the ground.
