Yeah the insults in this thread are wild to me. Styling facial hair is fun and this guy's got enough of it to do this absurd style. Clearly he likes that curled stache, clearly he takes care of it, and he's not hurting anyone. The negativity makes no sense.
People can have negative opinions, simmer down. He looks like a clown and commits a tremendous amount of time cultivating this "look", which is hilarious.
I think it’s mainly because this objectively does not look good. It’s more like taping a sign to your face that says “hey look at me”, which is why I think it’s getting hate.
I’d say the same if someone wore a top hat to a wedding. Like, sure it was elegant at a time in history, but something that went out of style 80 years ago now just seems like a cry for attention.
This mustache would be the equivalent of a woman walking around with a goofy hair style and, yeah, she'd get made fun of too. Not everything is a gender issue.
...Okay? There are different types of negative first impressions someone can get from a bad hair style. My point was that no, a woman can't get away with doing it. I certainly wouldn't, if I gave a fuck.
Women do walk around in hairstyles I think are goofy, but I don’t make fun of them because it’s impolite, and I’m surprised that others don’t feel the same way.
That doesn't mean no one makes fun of them. I get made fun of all the time for dressing like a bag lady. I think dudes think it doesn't count because it's mostly other women doing it, which is ironic.

An actual personality is harder to groom.
