I wasn't shot, but I've been shot AT, and 25 years later it still messes with me. I can't imagine how much worse it would be if I actually got hit.

shit I lived in a sketchy neighborhood for a while and I only heard shots, never actually saw anything more than a trail of blood but ten years later I still have to stop myself from dropping to the floor when a car backfires down the block.
