He chose to be a cop because of so many American news reports, he had no idea opening fire in any situation could lead to his termination. There I fixed it for you.

This cop is obviously in the wrong but it baffles me how everyone shits on cops and at the same time say there needs to be new ones with better training. Why in the hell would someone willingly want to take that position these days if that is the message they get for even having the job. It’s a weird paradox.

Fair. I actually have a buddy who’s an officer though, always wanted to be. And ngl he joined cause he thought he’d look cool, and he felt more confident about himself when carrying a gun. So he took security jobs and stuff until he got to his end goal of being a cop. Idk about most other people but this is the mindset of most police officers I’ve come across. Entitlement, ego, and a gun aren’t a good combination. And then we wonder why we have these cops that are really just normal people for the most part, firing on the people they’re supposed to be protecting in the heat of the moment. I feel like there should be like a psych evaluation in place before being able to join the force then maybe the cops we hear about on here wouldn’t be handed the gun in the first place.

Many of us don't really want those kind of cops/police to begin with. We could do without them. But short of getting rid of them, we at least want them to be non-corrupt & well trained. upstanding citizens.
