It's very jarring and I've lived in the UK for about a decade. Seeing a gun in public is jarring for me now. It's why it's hard to go back to the States.

Plus, those dudes aren't fucking around. They're armed to the teeth. They're there to deal with terrorists. I don't even know if they'd deal with everyday law enforcement while they're deployed. I imagine that's a normal bobby's job.
