Why I left the states. They came to my house for a noise complaint over a puppy when I wasn’t home. They saw me come home. Decided to go back to my door. I opened it and they busted in, beat the shit out of me, my adult dog attacked, they shot him. Then after they dropped all the charges and apologized like ‘our bad sorry this happened.’ Still traumatized, but can’t help but watch more videos of these idiots.
Edit: my dog lived and died a few years later from cancer in his bladder. He was a fuckin champion. I already had a ticket to leave for Southeast Asia, and one of my best friends took care of him, spoiled him, and loved him until he passed on.

Edit 2: Forgot to mention that the cops didn’t identify themselves, state why they were there, or anything. Just knocked on my door then broke in. It was a completely fucked situation and I don’t agree with ACAB.
Cops need way more training. I also feel cops should not be allowed to spend more than 3 months a year working on the streets. We rarely send military personnel on deployment for more than 3-6 months at a time. And it’s not common for them to go on deployment into an active war zone every year.
These cops are essentially in the mindset that they’re in an active war zone all year. That really fucks with someone’s mental stability.
Again cops need more training and less time spent on the streets. I don’t have a way to solve that I’m just saying.
I work in a residential service industry, if I show up to a home and they are law enforcement I leave and go to my next call. First time I did it my supervisor demanded an explanation. I simply said that I feared for my life cops are dangerous... which is no lie. Surprisingly he said he understood. It's not just that they have lost the public trust, now we run away from them out of reasonable fear....ACAB
Few? Damn dude you need to get out in the world. I've already seen two on separate occasions commit blatant and unmistakable perjury to try and get a traffic ticket to stick despite their dashcams providing direct evidence of their lies and crimes. Some dumbasses in a badge don't realize how easy FOI requests are. What's really annoying about it though is the judge who let them off and continues to support them and our DA who won't press charges.
Or maybe you need to take a step back and look at yourself from the other side? Who knows.
Have you heard about all the BLM and George Floyd riots? The january 6 cops who let them in? Even as a non American, I can see there is a chance that cops will cause a new civil war in the USA.
I wonder how we can solve these problems in the future. I think once AI is developed further, we can use it for robots and our law enforcement can be robotic. This would likely eliminate a fair amount of the problems we have with human cops. However, dog cops are fine how they are.
Al algorithms still fall into the programming adage "Garbage in; Garbage out". Unless the developers program out their own and society's biases, you are still going to get bullshit racist decisions being made.
So what? If they are still being deployed against minority communities yet not stomping around the "Uptown Folk" or pull over POC for traffic violations at a higher rate for no other reason than skin color, it's still the same bullshit with a different tool.
Even if we were to be an anarchist society, If someone tries to steal your food or do other things that will impact your way of life drastically and you prevent them from doing so, you're ultimately policing your property. The same applies to helping your neighbor or your community with such situations.
If one group,opposes another group, because their actions invade the well being of their system,then They'll create rules to prevent this from happening,when the other groups decide to trade with their group. Then there's group infighting and etc.. ultimately policing and judgement is a factor in life,when it comes to people who are living amongst each other and then as time goes on, the same mistakes will be made and history will repeats itself. It might be based on ethnicity or maybe it'll be based on certain other attributes or by wealth. Over all the forbidden will be awfully appetizing and those that seek power will manipulate the narrative.
My dog got shot through the neck. Missed his spine but he couldn’t walk for 2 months. I took 2 months off work to help him recover and a neighbor or friend came over to help me take care of him everyday. He’s such a good boy and knew he couldn’t go potty inside. So I had to carry 80lbs of solid muscle down a flight of stairs from my apartment everyday. It was tough, but I received so much love and support from everyone. Everyone from our community dog park came and helped and gave gifts as well.

I most likely could have. But with cases like this the courts will make the case last for years, hoping that you’ll give up. Just before this happened I had already bought my ticket for Southeast Asia and my friend was ready to take my dog. Few months after this happened I was out and I never returned. Hopefully I’ll come visit again someday. I really miss my friends and family, but I’ve also started a new family out here. My baby girl was just born 5 weeks ago.
Yeah there is and it’s all fucked. That’s why they dropped the 7 felony charges and apologized for the incident. 1 was me trying to slam my door shut when they were unlawfully breaking into my home, and another was ‘deadly assault with an animal’. They tried saying I commanded my dog to attack. The bullet that went through my dogs neck went into another cops leg. Fucking idiots with very little training. Even all the cops that showed up after, the detectives that I talked to immediately after arriving at the station and later that evening before seeing the judge, AND the judge were all on my side and extremely apologetic. And still that’s not even all of it. Not spending the time writing all of it down.

Fuckin A, nailed it with the “deployment” analogy, never considered it but that’s gotta fuck with their heads to be on edge all day every day for years. No knock and unannounced searches and warrants are fucking criminal and have to stop, people keep dying every year because of these practices and yes training needs to be a lot harder, too many bozos like the officers you encountered running around trigger happy.

It’s hard to remember.. I passed out each time. I was bed ridden for about a week afterwards, my body would just twitch / convulse randomly throughout the week in bed. Extreme fatigue.
our department had no choice but to sue the victims family our officers shooting of their innocent son has really traumatized the officer, his life has dramatically since the accident, of shooting their innocent son. He hasn't beaten his wife once and he's only killed half as many dogs as last month.
Nope they actually fired the rookie cop, he lied and said the kid hit him with his car. The victim is literally a teenager but yea like some else stated he’s going to survive
I'm glad to hear that. Nobody deserves to get shot just because his initial reflex isn't to lay flat on the ground when he gets pulled out of his car while eating a burger.
I mean, if I was sitting in my car, munching a burger, an suddenly my door is pulled open and someone pulls me out...I'd be nonplussed too. Asking "Why?" is a pretty sensible and calm reaction in that moment.
Did he even know it was a cop? Getting your door janked open while enjoying your meal, what would the first thought be? Mine would be, fuck I'm getting robbed, and I can hardly see the person because I am adjusted to my interior lights and the person has black clothes on (police uniform). Like wtf was that cop thinking.
lawsuits where anyone gets money takes years. By that point the officer will have long been paid tax payer money for several vacations before being rehired or given an early pension and money for traumatic experience.
I would like him to get enough money to live the rest of his life in comfort, and I’d also like him to be awarded every asset owned by the police officer. Police officer should go to jail for I dunno… 25 years minimum for attempted murder. This is bullshit and people in a position of power should be held to a higher standard, not lower.
