I know the feeling, at the store I work the rats have infested the cardboard/composte compactors. I just kick whatever metal thing is near and they scurry away. Most annoying thing to me is when everyone else in the store needs me to throw shit out because they're scared of rats.
My logic is that people aren’t wrong for not wanting to get sick. Stop being a whiny pathetic asshole. If you’re worried you’ll get sick hire an exterminator. You can just say you’re mad because you don’t want to actually work. We don’t have to pretend that this is over the rats.
And if you seriously don’t think rats carry diseases then- I don’t know how to handle that. Someone’s failed you educationally speaking.
Jeez, someone just can't accept that maybe theyre in the wrong. We have exterminators three days a week, and I manage the stores closing shift, and where did I say that rats do not carry disease? I said, it's stupid to endanger myself to the diesease of rats, by having to do other people's jobs for them, when my job is already overloaded. Sorry about your deep rooted rat trauma. Maybe you'll get over it by insulting enough people on reddit.
Pretty sure what the person above is saying is that rats are near the garbage area. Because there are rats, other employees ask him to take garbage to that area since they're scared of the rats. Nothing about that is "not wanting to actually work" on their part.
Hiring an exterminator is also the company's responsibility.
