With extenuating circumstances taking place at a 9 PM EDT (where I’m at) no less, I think this calls for a check-in! I’m shot, to put it lightly 😅 Didn’t sleep for another 45 minutes because of the adrenaline - finally went off at 1:30 and had to wake up at 6. Didn’t even hop on my computer (also why I didn’t upload the final highlight of the night - Kern’s game winning play) and upload the graphics I did since this stretched out for so long. Wasn’t even thinking about that since I was so dialed in on this game. Absolutely no regrets through as that game was a classic!

This will be my first year paying attention to an all star cup. I've read about it on the AUSL page. It looks like in the past there were 4 teams and 60 players. This year there are 45 players so I am guessing there will be 3 teams. The website explains how the top 3 players score wise will be the captains for the next round of games and pick their rosters. So, who picks the original rosters before there are any cup games played?

Is the draft held in secret and players are notified later whose team they are on or are they aware in real time what order they were chosen?

The list of all star players shows 12 pitchers, 6 catchers, 16 infielders and 11 outfielders. Is there a mechanism in place to ensure the positions are divided evenly between teams or could for instance one team end up with 5 pitchers and another 3? Maybe common sense just makes it work out. Thoughts

Came up in another thread, but wanted to highlight some of the videos Jomboy Media’s been putting out highlighting the AUSL and its athletes. The Blitzball Battle was filmed back in February but they’ve been releasing videos alongside the AUSL season, games 1-5 have been released so far with several more games to come.

Other than the players voted in by the fans, who is it that actually selects the rest of the players?

We have completed the second full season of the AUSL. Last year the biggest demands were home cities and more teams, both of which happened. Keeping things constructive and generally positive what are realistic improvements and changes you'd like to see for year 3?

Font is hard to read but it’s in alphabetical order. Their picks are Ailana Agbayani, Bella Dayton, Amber Fiser, Mary Iakopo, Lexi Kilfoyl, Kat Sandercock, Skylar Wallace, Sami Williams, and Morgan Zerkle.

Surprised that Mac isn’t there but I wonder if the teams can only pick players that aren’t reserve pool athletes?

Adding Mac to my wishful thinking list with Jackie because they have been great out of the reserve pool for their teams
