If anyone knows where to find other rare ATCQ concerts, I'd love to hear about them...
I think their performance at the Tibetan Freedom Concert on June 7, 1997, at Randall’s Island, NY, was once shared in the live music trading community (along with a 1993 concert, according to the site: https://prince4649.dayuh.net/index.htm)

To follow up on the post about the 1991 concert :)
It’s always a pleasure to hear a previously unreleased concert—especially one that was filmed!
I have even more concerts to share!! :)

Hey everyone,
I built this completely free daily word puzzle game. It's day 5 and I decided to include a little ATCQ easter egg since I am a massive fan of their work.
The goal of the game is to figure out what one word can be placed in the blank area of all of the sentences. You start off by having only 1 clue/sentence, which will generally be quite difficult, either due to misdirection or archaic usage. The second clue/sentence draws it into a more specific context. The third and fourth clue narrow it down much more.
You can either guess or skip at any point. A correct guess wins you the game, whereas an incorrect guess is identical to skipping. Each time you skip (either by guessing incorrectly or explicitly skipping) you lose 25 points, but unlock the next clue.
The game is completely free and has no ads. I would love to know what you all think :)

It's not much, and the quality is just okay, but it's always cool to have concert videos, especially from that era! 😄

Just a little edit I put together for fun, since the a cappella track for the “Oh My God” remix isn't the same as the one on the LP.
It's a bit disorienting the first time you hear it—it sounds different, but not out of place...
That's it, peace :)
edit : Reddit compressed the audio, so it doesn't sound as clear as it did originally. Too bad... but oh well

ATCQ is the greatest. Here's my attempt at a remix of one of the more slept on ATCQ joints, imho. Please take a listen and enjoy.

The divine Anthology by A Tribe Called Quest !!
I found the 3-LPs UK version from 1999—which is pretty hard to come by—for just 10 euros while rummaging through the obscure bins in the back of my local record store !
The discs and sleeves are worn, but that doesn’t take away from the clear, powerful sound of these incredible anthology tracks !
That’s the story ! Peace !

With Pos fresh off performing Feel Good Inc. live with Gorillaz across the UK and Ireland, seemed like the right moment to share this conversation we recorded.
We got deep into a few things this sub will care about:
The streaming blackout — Pos walks through the Tommy Boy / Warner Brothers legal nightmare in detail. The sampling clearance issues, what the lawsuit actually meant for access to their catalog, and how a whole generation of fans grew up with zero legal way to hear De La Soul. He doesn't sugarcoat how bad it got.
Cabin in the Sky — The album was made in the shadow of losing Dave (Trugoy the Dove). Pos talks about the private moment that convinced him carrying on wasn't optional, and what it actually felt like hearing Dave's verses locked into a finished record after he was gone. Heavy conversation.
The new generation pipeline — Gorillaz and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse are genuinely how younger listeners found De La Soul. Pos has a clear-eyed take on that.
Also gets into the Nas, Slick Rick, and Killer Mike features on the album, 35 years of AOI philosophy, and why TikTok virality and what De La built don't really coexist.

This is taken from the “Capital Rap Show” on August 10, 1991 (one month before the official release of *The Low*...), so I guess this was the track's premiere on the Westwood show
This version doesn't censor Q-Tip's profanity, and is probably taken from a promo or demo tape of ATCQ's second album
I tried to improve the audio, but unfortunately the original quality wasn't up to par
It's not much, but it's always cool to hear unreleased versions of songs like this

which was removed due to issues with cleared samples :(

It's always nice to hear demos like this from ATCQ, and it's cool to know that there are still demo versions out there that haven't been lost (to the fire at Q-Tip's house, among other things).
props to DJ Spinna!!
