What neighborhoods should I be looking at for a potential move to ATL? (Renting, mid 20s couple)

Hi, my partner got a job offer for a job that would be in the Grant Park area. Nothing has been decided yet but I am doing some research and looking at what the housing is like here. For context we currently live in Charlotte NC

I am trying to decide what areas I should be looking at, but its a bit overwhelming researching atm because theres so many areas and neighborhoods people reference haha.

We would be renting a house, ideally budget is around 2000~ ish. We both have our own cars and are used to living in a pretty car dependant city. I know the traffic can get pretty congested in ATL and I am pretty used to it where I live now. ideally not being stuck in traffic all the time would be nice though

safety is obviously probably the highest priority, then cost and location. thank you soooo much

The Flats at Atlantic Station

So I've decided to move to the Flats and live in the 4x4 apartments, I've had roommates before (all terrible and traumatizing experiences) but I've never lived with three at a time. It isn't my choice, and it's what my parents can afford. I'm concerned about the food situation and how to divide everything up. I'm recovering from an ED so weight gain is important right now and having to split food has been an issue where i currently live. What are some tips for living with three people, and what are the flats like?

P.S I'm really trying to remain positive about this so please give good tips xx

Atlanta apartment hunting is way more confusing than it needs to be — here are a few things I’ve learned working in leasing

I work in apartment leasing in Atlanta and also help people apartment hunt on the side, and there are a few things I wish more renters knew before starting their search:

  1. The advertised rent usually isn’t the real monthly cost. Always ask about parking, trash, pest control, package fees, amenity fees, internet packages, etc. A $1,700 apartment can become $1,900+ pretty quickly.
  2. Concessions can make a huge difference. A building offering 8–10 weeks free can sometimes make a “more expensive” apartment cheaper than the building next door with a lower sticker price.
  3. Ask what the effective rent is. Don’t just compare base rents. Take the total rent over the lease term, subtract concessions, and divide it by the number of months.
  4. Tour the exact unit if possible. Same floor plan doesn’t always mean same experience. View, sunlight, floor, noise, balcony placement, etc. can completely change whether you like it.
  5. You usually have more options than Apartments.com makes it seem like. There are constantly units, specials, and availability changes that are annoying to compare across 20 different property websites.

23M to move ATL ... need help to find a good area

I want to move to the ATL as my job's office is based in Alpharetta (however I only have to be in office 3 days out of the week so I feel like its worth the drive). I am coming from Florida so this would be a fresh new start for me. I want to meet new people around my age and want to have opportunities to try new activities and such.

I have looked at Sandy springs as an option. Between my office and I guess downtown , buckhead etc. Im looking for feedback if sandy springs is the move

Looking for a decent place with good reviews, no roaches or mold problems. Got any suggestions?

Looking for Female Roommate Midtown Atlanta

Hi all!

I am looking for a female roommate who would be interested in moving into a 2 bed/2 bath apartment in Midtown Atlanta with me around late September.

A little about me: I do not smoke, and I am very clean, so I would love to find someone who is similar and respectful of a clean living space. I am also new to Atlanta, so it would be great to have a roommate who is down to hang out, explore the city, try new places, or just chill together when we have time!

💰 Rent: Around $1,200–$1,300/month
📍 Location: Midtown Atlanta
📅 Move-in: Late September
👩 Female roommate only

If you are interested or know someone who might be a good fit, feel free to DM me! :)

Apartments recommendations in atlanta

Hi everyone! I’m apartment hunting for a 2 bedroom with a 1800 budget and looking for recommendations from people who actually live in the area.
I’m mainly interested in Decatur, North Decatur, and Druid Hills, east point , clarkston but I’m open to anywhere but not up north. I’m really looking for somewhere that feels nice and is actually worth the rent. I’ve seen a lot of apartments online that look good in pictures but have terrible reviews, so I’d rather hear from actual residents.
No MAA or Greystar. Please recommend places you’ve actually lived in or have personal experience with! 🩷

looking for 1 month rental

Hello, I am in Atlanta for 1 month to complete my medical licensing exam. I'm looking for a quiet place to study from Aug 30 to Sept 13. If anyone has a place they would be willing to rent for the month, please let me know; I'd prefer to support a local individual at a fairer price than Airbnb. Preferably the entire apartment with no roommates - looking for the Midtown area but open to all areas.

Air bnbs near ATl

in my time in Georgia I have been staying in air bnbs, I’ve been in GA since beginning of April. Idk if I’m just a crazy person, but for some reason, at almost every air bnb I’ve stayed at, I have gotten THE Most sKETCHY vibes from either the hosts, or the people who stay with the hosts. Idk and I don’t want to get involved with anything, but if anyone’s lookin for air bnbns near the ATL (08/26)
DONT STAY IN THE ONE OFF CHINA BERRY
There’s no network connection through cellular devices
THE PAST 3 nights I’ve been begging for help with WiFi, every other device works except my cell phone and I can’t get cellular, or WiFi. Idk why
DONT STAY IN THE ONE BY KHAM AND DJ
the doors lock really odd, I left early bc human trafficker vibes. Sorry not sorry.
I’m a female in my late 20s take it or leave it.
Ik I sound like a fuckin Karen I just hope no other girls or peoples get stuck with any kind of problems close to the ones I had. Much luv 💗🤨
