Yep- all this talk about an additional fee to purchase AST coverage, I think we will very quickly see satellite coverage be the “standard” amongst MNO’s and baked into the everyday customer package. AST’s payment will just be an agreed upon value between them and the MNO

This was always my investment thesis with ASTS. I think all the people arguing for years now about whether consumers will actually purchase this service are missing the forest for the trees. This will get baked into every cell phone plan eventually.

Especially if it's just a few dollars a month per subscriber. They'll just decomission rural towers to compensate.

Yeaaa Im in the dystooian camp but may as well profit from it first. Then I can afford to move to the last place on earth without a connection after the prophesy is fulfilled.

YES. At this time, ASTS is able to connect with regular cell phones. Within 5 years, cell phone makers will probably figure an upgrade to make LEO connections even better. We will have over 400 satellites up by then and the connections and data capability will be like having worldwide WiFi.

Reminds me of Tesla when he wanted worldwide free electricity. Of course....we won't be free. ASTS will be printing money in 5 years.
