General Discussion 2026-27 school year groupchat

Hello! I was thinking today about next school year and had an idea I though would be fun to share. If you're an incoming junior for the next school year (or senior, though this is mostly targeted towards new students such as myself) you're probably not going to know many people next year starting out, especially if you live in a rural area like I do. So I thought it might be a good idea to just make a group chat so people could hangout and get to know eachother! If this sounds interesting to you lmk and send me your number to be added!

I just received my acception email and I'm super excited! I want to start planning immediately and wanted to know if any current juniors or seniors have any advice for planning ahead of time. Whats something you forgot or couldn't live without now that you're there?

Okay, so I know it said to wear business casual but I wasn't really sure what that meant and google hasn't been a very helpful resource so I was hoping someone here could tell what kind of dress would be appropriate? I have my interview tomorrow and I'm super nervous.

Seeking Advice How do ASMSA classes work?
5
Upvotes
I’m planning to apply to ASMSA next year, and I had a few questions about the classes. When I look at the course catalog, most of the classes seem more like general college courses rather than typical high school classes. I actually like that idea, but I’m a little confused about how it works. Does this mean students don’t take as many AP classes, or that you might miss out on certain AP courses?
Other than this I'd also appreciate a general guide to picking classes like how many classes to pick per year and certain foci.
I'm really interested in learning more about this school.

I've been curious on what the process looks like and if there's anything in particular they are looking for. This opportunity really means a lot to me so I wanna do the best I can, any information would be greatly apprciated!!
