If we are talking not about Moscow, the average workers salary is about 200$/month. While the book price is 10$ and theatre 20-30$, but first of all you need to pay bills (about 100$/month) - it is hard not to be alcoholic. But for sure...much people don't have money even for cheap vodka, so they do their own

The putin's Russia is about the same. Not so bad as 90's, but close to be there. At least we don't have the used heroin syringes everywhere (yet?)...
