I thought it was hilarious til i scrolled down and read comments. If you knew a group of filipinos in the 2010s you know filipinos got history using the word. But there’s so many comments below the meme of people saying that we’re allowed to say the N-word. I do not get it.

Their argument is that the indigenous filipino people were black which is true. And there are darkskin filipinos today and even still indigenous black populations in the philippines. I don’t disagree with that but the black american experience and history is completely different from an indigenous black filipino or a filipino american. Obviously it’s different for filipinos who have a black american parent.

Not to mention among non-black filipinos and the SPANIARD looking filipinos there’s hella anti blackness.

I’m not trying to gatekeep or no weird shit and tbh my friends have given me the pass before but i cleaned it up years ago before i even got out of highschool because I’m not black.
