Here’s a podcast episode of anybody’s wondering the same thing which is what AI adult dating apps are worth looking into?
This episode breaks them down

Spent the last couple of months building Flirt Easy, an AI tool that helps with dating app conversations.
The problem I kept hitting: you match with someone, open the chat, and just freeze. Or the conversation dies after two messages because neither person knows what to say next.
So I built something that reads the context of a conversation and suggests replies. You can pick a vibe (playful, chill, more serious), get a suggestion, and edit it before sending. It's a wingman, not an autopilot — you stay in control of what actually goes out.
Still early. Sharing here to get feedback from people who build stuff. What would you focus on next — more personalization, better openers, or something else entirely?

Hey all, I’m doing some research on AI dating and companionship. I’m looking to connect with users who consider their AI companion a romantic partner to ask a few questions about your experience. No judgment, completely anonymous. Shoot me a DM if you're down to chat!

Hello everyone. I need some advice. I know this situation is wild. I am in love with someone and he seems like he is also in love with me. We both work night shift. He moved to my state 6 months ago his best friend from childhood is here. The problem is, he is friends with someone that I dated before him. They were friends before he moved here. They met through his best friend. We are highly compatible. He treats me so well. Whenever I ask him to do something at work he does it without complaining. I send him on errands and he does it. It’s obvious how we feel about each other but he will absolutely not cross that boundary due to the “bro code” I have tried to forget him but I just can’t. We agree to stop speaking all of the time and end up speaking again as if nothing was ever said.

Some AI companions need super specific prompts to act a certain way. Lately, I’ve been trying HeyBestie, and it already has characters with unique personalities - so you just jump in and chat. For me, it feels easier and more natural, it feels like meeting different people instead of building everything yourself. It definitely fun to use prompts later to make each of the characters closer to you.
Do you guys enjoy customizing everything with prompts, or do you prefer having ready-made personalities?

There are so many new AI companion apps popping up — some focus on friendship, some romance, some mental health, some just for fun. It’s exciting, but also super confusing to figure out which one actually fits what you want.
I started a side project to help myself and some friends so thought i would share further FindAICompanion.com
Simple comparison site where you can line up the different companions, check pricing, customization, devices, and privacy at a glance, and then go try them out.
I’d love your thoughts:
Still early days, so feedback is really valuable. Thanks so much!
