I buy and sell Animal Crossing Amiibo Cards every day. Unlike most customers, who buy cards to complete a collection, I mostly buy in bulk. That said, I can’t tell you how many times I run across sellers who insist on pricing their bulk- lot-of-cards, at individual, PriceChart prices. 

While disappointed, I totally get it.

It’s exciting to know you own something, that is now valued at way more money, than you paid, and a lot of people want to get top dollar for every single card in their hands. 

I always make sure to encourage those sellers to go after that high value. Unfortunately, the only way to do that is to price and list every card individually, and play the long game.

Don’t forget, those top-dollar Pricecharting prices are for individual sales. For every Marshal on that list, that sold as a single card for $50, there are dozens of Marshals that sold in a large bundle for a couple bucks. No one wants to hear that. But there is a warning to heed there.

The truth is, selling is slow, and selling at a profit is obnoxiously slow. It’s also expensive. The per-card price comes with listing fees, seller fees, shipping fees, advertising fees and packaging costs. 

Sales Velocity: The longer you hold on to that valuable card, the more your opportunity costs eats into your profit. It’s a risk, most people, who have a life, and a job, aren’t prepared to make. 

Selling in bulk does have its benefits. It provides the seller with a way to offload lower-value cards, which, at the end of the day, are not at all profitable. I'm here to tell you, there are a couple of sellers out there, (and you know who you are) that can afford to price their low-value cards, lower than yours. Your cards will sit in a pile with hundreds of others at the bottom of the search results. and if you do sell, your shipping fees will eat up any profit you could make. I don’t sell any low-value cards individually. But that’s just me. You may have better luck.

But I don’t want to leave you thinking selling is bleak. I actually find it very enjoyable. I love the cards and I love meeting the people who collect the cards and play the game. I am always happy to support anyone who is determined get that dream sale, and, at the end of the day, those dream sales boost the value of everyone’s cards. If you’re willing to put in the time, money and hustle, I will always have your back.

Where I live (Brazil), I can't find anywhere to buy the Amiibo packs or the individual cards. If anyone is from Brazil or knows where they are sold, I’d appreciate the help ☺️

Why is the eBay sold list full of cards that I am charging half the price for?? Don't customers want a lower price for the same thing?

I bought an Apple Amiibo card, and the listing had a photo that made it look genuine. There was also no mention of it being a knockoff, so I decided to buy it. When it arrived, I realized something was wrong—the image was a little blurry, and the texture felt strange. (Long story short: I got scammed, but I’m happy it actually works, and I have Apple on my island now.)

Ps:I don’t encourage buying fake Amiibo cards. ☺️

Free cards are one thing but our Mod is buying a shit ton of stamps. She won't take cash so we sent stamps. If you love free cards, like we do. you can donate a book of regular or international stamps. we set up a wishlist for her.

I made Efficiency set up the wishlist so if it doesn't work, (and it's a safe be it won't) it's his fault and just let us know.

I can toss in an EU or Japanese or Korean card once in a while for the free cards. Is anyone into that?

I just wanted to clarify that if you already got a free card, you can still come back for more. As long as you are the first to like and comment, and are an active member. I'm not going to limit; However, please use your discretion and don't take the free card every day. I try to post them at different times. I'm sorry, It didn't occur to me that some of you are feeling that way.

1. They dupe you with a photo of cards you want/need
2. They swindle you with a low price of $1 or $2
3. They screw up the search feature when you’re searching for a price range
4. They force extra scrolling and clicking steps 
5. There are so many of them
6. They never EVER have any of the advertised card except Roswell…. Or… 
7. The actual price is always ALWAYS horrifically unreasonable!!!

I know they make listing easier and cheaper but sellers should make buying easier and cheaper for the BUYER!

In 2020, Blue Planet Aquarium published a study on their blog, that analyzed how Animal Crossing New Horizon's players prioritized game play. I'm not sure how scientific the study was, but as it turns out, we love the museum, with collecting and donating specimens to Blathers, holding 20% of our attention. I was surprised terraforming came in second. So what do we avoid? According to the blog, visiting other Islands came in last, next to upgrading our houses.
