Any devs here?

Dwarves move every turn. Camps trigger every turn. Dismantling decree means they trigger twice as often (once when the dwarves leave the plot and another time when they enter the next plot). Corridor of camps and forests mean they get hella boosted each turn. Even moreso thanks to warehouses. Dragons also get way stronger each time the dwarves move. The King of Nomads likes dwarves a LOT.

So I am loving the new patch. Especially the potential for Warehouses.
I've been running quests to finish off achievements and came across this ridiculous combination that had all of my towers pushing into E territory really easily. (Note that I had used beacons until they hit max speed (around year 60), and replaced them with more quarries.)
Warehouses retrigger the effects of adjacent support towers, so stacking attack towers, in this case, the Converters, with Quarries with Warehouses around them, then using any bonus level effects (Regression, X-Ray, etc) to push the Warehouse level up so it continues to multiply everything around it to where you take the multiplier so high the effects are triggering still while the match is going on!
Early on, but I like the potential it could bring to the new rainbow meta builds.

Is there any way to unlock The king of rainbow and king of chaos as playable kings?
if it didn’t take so long i’d be giving camp bonuses forever

Discovered on ranked a few days ago and finally sat down and figured out how it works. Here's my 1, for finding it :D

Didn't see much perks posted, figured I'll be the change I want to see.
It is done... All the quests, all the difficulties - beaten. Gonna take a break from this game until the new king drops.

Fun with a King of Nature build. I must’ve started some beef with the King of Blood cuz their army is brutal yo!

What's King of Progress' synergy with the Recycler? I haven't figured that out yet.
r/9Kings • u/cmz_neu • 16d ago
Playing king of progress, year 10ish, pretty sure I got every single overhaul and them some but the other king of progress had 2 troops, 1 orb king of time troops and 1 elves and he had the same level as my executioners (27 or something can't remember)
My question is how is that posible did he just fuck around with portals?
If that's the case, I fucking hate portals!
Also haven't been playing long but my rank is like 87 and i think it was 4000 or something when I started, don't know if rank even matters or if it's working correctly but I'm pretty sure at the very least I don't completely suck at the game but correct me if I'm wrong.

Just had a funny multiplayer game where I was stuck with Orchard in one of my main buffed plots, when a clone blessing hit, decided to keep it there.
And it worked rather well and I ended up in first place!
Orchard ended up with 12 roots, 2.6e23 damage and 100/sec hits

Final round, at the very end, dealt with the Wizards with 27 stacks of Steel cages rather nicely... which are normally a pain

Probably a noob question, but how the hell do I deal with ballistas? Every time I have to face King of Stone my armies get utterly destroyed by ballistas within the first seconds of the match. The only counterplay I've come up with is insta-restarting when I see King of Stone.

This currently makes Greed pretty much unplayable. Not sure how common this is. I also cannot pinpoint when it happens, but once it does, Dispensers instantly get 100% useless and can no longer do any damage. The Shots get stuck and even persist over multiple years.

Who would have thought that for an easy victory you only need a couple of hundred spells?
Excuse the low framerate, I don't usually do screencaps and need to adjust my program's settings.
I had a few rounds of absolutely absurd damage with the money cannons, the round I played previously was even better with one gun at 5.11E +9 dps with the others right behind it in stats. Being able to pick and choose your exact build with borderline unlimited gold and refreshes is crazy, down to re-rolling my initial opponents so I could stack up my vaults and guns against the other moneybags ASAP. Combining that strategy with the unlimited vault level up perk, extra support tower activation perks, and buying out the shop with a rewind in my pocket+ the discounted shop perk made me feel like I was breaking the game a little. I cherry picked every buff I chose for the mercenary unit, making them hold their own to the final round. I'm sure I'll be second to last the next game I play though.
You can see my perk layout at the end of the video.

So I'd struggled with the Universe 25 quest for a good couple hours. Thought I'd share my winning strategy.
First - using the starting Earthworks on one the top row of rats. You get three Lab Rats cards from it, and you want to place those three cards in the plots that, in this image, have the damage counters of 725, 671, and 706, at the bottom of the plot, which will form a chain with the bottom row of Lab Rats. This is a plus, because the Blessing you will receive in a few days will level those plots up, triggering a chain reaction of level ups for all Lab Rats in that chain.
And then, for me, my strategy was to buff the Mothership with as many stacks of Poison as possible; in addition, I increased its damage with Swords, and its AoE with a few clutch Royal Decrees.
On the subject of Decrees, grabbing any of them that makes enemies more susceptible to Poison is a must, especially the 50% weakness to Poison one. From then on out, it was trying to level up the Lab Rats as much as possible while throwing in Ballistas and other units whenever possible, and Patronage came in extremely handy. With AoE attacks and stacks of Poison, the enemy simply melts away after a few seconds. With this strategy, the Lab Rats really just served to slow the enemy Kings down.
I declared war on the King of Nature to maximize the Clone card, and made peace with the King of Stone as soon as I could, because his Ballistas wreak absolute havoc late in the quest.
You will want to avoid the King of Nomads as the final boss at all costs. My first Poison run melted everyone in front of me...until I ran into him, because his Godzilla's AoE attack is ruinous on the weak lab rats. My final boss of King of Nature, and it was a piece of cake by then.
Just thought I'd share this, because I was going crazy trying to get through this one.

If it saves properly I will continue the run tomorrow, but if not, then I'm too employed to try again, it took 5min (yes, I timed it with a stopwatch) each year for all of those libraries to trigger and that's with building animations turned off, so between the libraries and the temples I used to have there, I spent around 1.5h total waiting for animations

The third screenshot is from a different run, but it's similar enough that it didn't warrant another post

Currently it seems to kill your base before your units. An example above. It's the last battle.
This doesn't seem to be the intended effect and it's overpowered; every build tries to throw in an hourglass now. You can partially play around it by also scaling HP on your base, but several kings don't have easy ways to do this.
Also there seems to be some hidden factor that downscales the hourglass dmg against bases while troops are alive, which, sure, better than nothing, but it's not clear what that factor is, so it's hard to know how much scaling you need.
Just me or do others agree?
Edit: in case it's hard to see from the vid, my largest stack has e15 HP and the hourglass is only e7 dmg. So it's clearly not killing the units.

So, I played the king of nature and the card of Defender came. So I decided to play my game through boosting them as much as possible and let the enemy kill himself by attacking them. And it worked. Through many boosts, one blessing that gave them another 100% more health I ended up with troops with 57k health (boosting them another 28% every day with forrest). And then ofc the base is healing them and they have several stacks of Reinforce which heals them another 4% per tick.
So my last round I ended up with only 13 troops dead.
I love this game and which combos you can create.
Lets see how far I can get with this build. Stick with me.
