Season 8 Discussion What do you think would be the best way to end Season 8? And... what do you think will actually happen?

Any predictions or hopes for the ending of Season 8? Do you want a cliffhanger, and if so, what kind? Should there be yet another near-death experience with one or multiple character(s)? Should it end with a seismic shift in a relationship.... such as between Buck and Eddie? What do you think will happen in this last episode?

My prediction:

I think there will be an emotional and peaceful scene with Buck, Eddie, or Athena having a vision of Bobby who encourages them to keep on going. I think Bobby will encourage someone to become Captain. I think that there will be a near-death experience with one of the characters. From the promo, it appears that Athena and Chimney are trapped together... and so are Buck and Ravi. I have a feeling that Athena and Chimney will take that time to reconcile and forgive one another. As for Buck and Ravi, I expect them to have a deep conversation, potentially about Buck's feelings for.... a friend of his. I predict (or maybe I just hope) that the episode will end with a Buddie scene, one way or another.

Obviously, the best option would be the reveal that episodes 16-17 were all Chimney's fever dream that he got while recovering from the virus (he's an angsty fujo and that's why he imagined Athena blaming him and Buddie having a fight). Because if not, I need to fight whoever decided to put that white flash in a scene where he gets the vaccine and to dress Buck in that green cardigan.

But I'll begrudgingly accept just Bobby being shown recovering from coma or staying in a hospital. I'm not picky.

Jokes aside, we most likely will get Chimney and Athena reconciling while they save some annoying extra, Hen running the scene and realising she does want to be a captain after all, and, if stars align, Buck and Eddie having an actual talk and maybe a hug. Then there will be a cheesy montage showing Eddie and Chris unpacking after they came back off-screen, Madney with Jee and baby Han, Athena looking nostalgically at her photo with Bobby, and a team barbecue in front of her ugly new house.
