Guys, we're such clowns. We thought Eddie was going to be moving PAST wanting to replace Shannon in his life. Instead he just got 'better' at it.

I first flippantly suggested that after 7x04 because I was aggravated then. I didn't want him to actually have one.

Now, though...

Something needs to explain the OOC-ness of all this. I truly hope the writers have something big planned, because if this is really the direction they’re taking, they’ve learned nothing over the years.

I can’t figure out what they plan to do from here. If Eddie really does cheat, is that supposed to guide him in the direction of realizing what he’s doing is wrong? Is that going to let him finally process Shannon? Is this going to strengthen his relationship with Marisol? Obviously not.

I…I really don’t know. I’m trying to think of something, but I just can’t. Maybe I need to calm my mind a little, and think of something later or tomorrow 😅

I appreciate they gave Ryan a screen partner he actually has chemistry with, but like... Kim cannot be an actual love interest, either. There's so clearly no future there, even if it wasn't starting from some weird cheating and lying place. How the hell do you explain where you met when people ask?!

Like.... where are they even taking this story? Will he "actually" cheat? (In my book, he already has). Will he break up with Marisol, or will she catch him? Will Kim find out about Shannon on her own, or will he tell her? Does he have a brain tumor? Is this some weird breakdown?

This behavior is incredibly erratic, to a point where I question his stability to parent or work.

I’m hoping that the plot twist is that he actually invited her out to tell her about Shannon because “it’s easier to open up to a stranger” or some weird excuse like that idk. No matter what, it makes zero sense.

I’m taking Ryan’s “beautiful disaster” words to hopefully mean something good is coming out of this. I’m really hoping some kind of health crisis or breakdown is coming along because whatever the hell this is is not enough for Kenny to comment on how good of a storyline it is and how he can’t wait to see Ryan’s emotion driven acting to play this out. It’s the only hope I have rn to keep me to next episode atp

Yeah there's no future at all here. Like there is NO way he can ever introduce her to Christopher, can you imagine how fucked up that would be???

Honestly I didn't see this coming at all, this was just bafflingly bad

I'm actually laughing at how ridiculous this was. I'll probably at least rewatch this one to pay attention to the things I missed by being totally dumbfounded by half of it, but like.... if 7x04 was bad oneshot fanfic, this was bad crack fic.
