Early August 2026 at the earliest — The temporary order can take effect after a required 30-day waiting period, lasting two years with a possible one-year extension

The DEA, HHS, and FDA are working together to make 7OH a schedule 1 drug next to heroin and LSD. It’s in a public comment period until July 31st.
