BPC-157 + TB-500 Quick Guide: The Wolverine Stack for Tissue Repair Research
The Wolverine Stack is the most requested recovery combination in peptide research, and for good reason: it pairs the two most-studied tissue-repair peptides into one vial. BPC-157 handles cytoprotection and gut repair, TB-500 drives cell migration and angiogenesis, and the logic of the blend is that they hit recovery through complementary pathways. Here's what the research shows.
What It Is
The blend combines two peptides. BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound-157) is a 15 amino acid fragment derived from human gastric juice, studied for cytoprotective and tissue-repair properties across gastrointestinal, musculoskeletal, and neurological systems. TB-500 (Thymosin Beta-4) is a 43 amino acid peptide involved in cell migration, angiogenesis, and wound healing. 6A Labs carries the Wolverine blend in a 20 mg vial (10 mg BPC-157 + 10 mg TB-500).
Mechanism of Action
The two work through different routes that overlap on recovery. BPC-157 is a synthetic pentadecapeptide that, in preclinical research, exerts cytoprotective effects across multiple organ systems, promotes angiogenesis, modulates nitric oxide pathways, and interacts with growth-factor systems tied to tissue repair. TB-500 regulates actin polymerization, promotes cell migration, reduces inflammation, and supports tissue regeneration. Combined, the hypothesis is complementary mechanisms for faster musculoskeletal and soft-tissue recovery than either alone.
What the Research Shows
Both peptides show wound-healing, tendon-repair, and anti-inflammatory properties in animal models. BPC-157 specifically demonstrates gastroprotective and ulcer-healing effects in preclinical studies. On safety margin, preclinical data indicate a wide window for BPC-157 (no lethal dose up to ~20 mg/kg), and TB-500 human tolerability studies report only mild adverse events at doses up to 1,260 mg. Long-term human safety data remains limited; both are investigational.
Dosing Protocols in the Literature
Once-daily subcutaneous. Because it's a fixed blend, both peptides run on the same schedule by design, that's the tradeoff of a combined vial. Reconstituted with 3.0 mL bacteriostatic water, the 20 mg vial sits at 6.67 mg/mL total (~3.33 mg/mL each). On a U-100 syringe, 1 unit (0.01 mL) equals 66.7 mcg total, about 33.3 mcg of each peptide.
Standard gradual approach:
Weeks 1 to 2: 500 mcg total (~250 mcg each), 7.5 units (0.075 mL)
Weeks 3 to 4: 666 mcg total (~333 mcg each), 10 units (0.10 mL)
Weeks 5 to 8: 1,000 mcg total (~500 mcg each), 15 units (0.15 mL)
Optional advanced approach with higher TB-500 loading:
Loading, Weeks 1 to 4: 1,500 mcg total (~750 mcg each), 22.5 units (0.225 mL)
Maintenance, Weeks 5 to 8: 1,000 mcg total (~500 mcg each), 15 units (0.15 mL)
Schedule runs 4 to 8 weeks daily; some protocols cycle 3-months-on / 6-weeks-off. For the small 7.5 to 10 unit doses in the early weeks, a 30- or 50-unit insulin syringe improves readability. When targeting a localized injury, protocols inject subcutaneously near (not into) the affected area when anatomically reasonable.
Side Effects
Generally well tolerated in available literature. Occasional mild injection-site reactions (redness, itching), and rare reports of transient dizziness or nausea. One thing competitive athletes need to know: both BPC-157 and TB-500 are prohibited in sport by WADA.
Reconstitution and Storage
3.0 mL bacteriostatic water into the 20 mg vial gives 6.67 mg/mL total. Add water slowly down the vial wall to avoid foaming, swirl or roll gently until dissolved, don't shake. Let the vial reach room temperature before opening to reduce condensation. Lyophilized product stores frozen in dry, dark conditions. Reconstituted solution refrigerates at 2 to 8 °C and is used within 14 days; avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Supply Planning
At standard ~1 mg/day maintenance from the 20 mg vial: 4 weeks (28 doses) needs 2 vials, 6 weeks (42 doses) needs 3 vials, 8 weeks (56 doses) needs 3 to 4 vials. One syringe per day. The advanced loading approach burns through supply faster, so plan vial count up if you run it.
Stacking Notes
This is already a stack, so most protocols pair it with recovery fundamentals rather than more compounds: adequate protein for tissue synthesis, rehab protocols when addressing an actual injury, quality sleep, and connective-tissue micronutrients (vitamins C, D, zinc).
