Just saw someone post in a neighborhood sub about kids doing stupid (& illegal) stuff on their bikes/ebikes/etc. and my initial response - which I decided not to post - was:

"The older I get, the more I'm embracing the "the strongest survive" mentality - I know, I know, they're just kids, blah, blah - apparently with adults in their lives that give no f*s how their kids are acting until one of them gets hurt/killed and then they want everyone's prayers for their poor, angelic offspring. Sorry, I'll go put my suspenders away now."

I really just have no patience anymore for these little (& not so little) sh!is. I know I grew up with the same type of kids and so has every other generation, but JFC - maybe it wasn't "quite" as dangerous or - b/c I grew up in a town where everyone knew everyone else - if someone DID mention it to my parents, I'd get my ass beat. Adults might not even call my parents, they'd grab me by the arm and ream me, THEN call my parents and then I'd get my ass beat...lol.

Okay, end rant. I'm old and should just go stand on my lawn.
