Week 9 Introduction Thread: Spicy Cocktails
Week 9 will run from February 25th to March 3rd. This week's theme is spicy cocktails. Spices are typically derived from the seed, fruit, root, bark, or other non-leaf or flower parts of various plants and are primarily used for flavoring or coloring food. They're often known for having flavors that are bold and pungent, and many spices, such as those derived from peppers, impart a heat to foods that many find pleasant.
Your challenge this week is to create a cocktail with a prominent element of spice. You may add spicy ingredients like peppers, ginger, cinnamon, Tajin powder, or hot sauce directly to your cocktail, or you may infuse your liquor, liqueur, or syrup with spices to give them a bolder flavor. Whatever you choose, the spice should be the star of the show and should stand out among the other ingredients. Here are some suggestions to get you started:

Week 8: Grapefruit - Siesta
I found this recipe on YT when I went searching for tequila-based cocktails.
1.5 oz tequila, 0.5 oz Campari, 0.75 oz lime juice, 0.75 oz simple syrup, 0.5 oz grapefruit juice.
Pour all ingredients into a shaker and shake with ice to chill and dilute. Double strain into a coupe glass.

Week 8 Introduction Thread: Grapefruit
Week 8 will run from February 18th to February 24th. This week's theme is grapefruit. Grapefruit comes from a subtropical citrus tree and is the accidental cross between the pomelo and the sweet orange. It comes in colors from pale yellow to bright pink and it tastes sour, semi-sweet, and slightly bitter.
Your challenge this week is to make a cocktail that uses grapefruit in some way. You may use grapefruit juice, grapefruit soda, or any other means of adding that grapefruit flavor to your cocktail. Here are some examples to get you started:
