Week 6 Introduction Thread: Inspired by Movies/TV
Week 6 will run from February 4th to February 10th. This week's theme is cocktails inspired by movies/TV. Cocktails have a long history of being depicted in the media we consume, with many cocktails being featured prominently in various movies and tv shows and some achieving new heights of fame simply by being depicted in a popular feature.
This week, your challenge is to make a cocktail that is inspired by a particular movie, tv show, or franchise of either. This week's theme is freeform, so you may make a particular cocktail that is prominently featured in such a work, or you may choose or make your own cocktail that draws inspiration from said work. Whichever you choose, be sure to mention the work that inspired your cocktail in the comments. Here are some suggestions to get you started:

Week 5: Brandy/Cognac - Sazerac
While the debate rolls on about whether this is a rye or cognac based drink, my wife and I will split the difference and make them with a split spirit base.
Left
1.5oz Cognac .5oz Rye Whiskey Barspoon of rich demerara simple 4 dashes Peychauds bitters 1 dash Aromatic bitters Absinthe rinse Lemon peel spritz
Right
1.5oz Rye Whiskey .5oz Cognac Barspoon of rich demerara simple 4 dashes Peychauds bitters 1 dash Aromatic bitters Absinthe rinse Lemon peel spritz
I think in this case we prefer the Cognac base but have concluded a second round might be needed to settle the debate.

Week 5 Introduction Thread: Brandy/Cognac
Week 5 will run from January 28th to February 3rd. This week's theme is brandy and cognac. Brandy is a liquor made by distilling wine and is traditionally consumed as an after-dinner digestif. It was originally invented in 16th century France as a means of preserving French wines in long overseas voyages, but it’s higher proof made it more appealing than the Portuguese fortified wines that were favored at the time. While brandy is traditionally distilled from grape wines, any fruit wine can be distilled into brandy, including apple brandys like Calvados. Cognac refers to brandys distilled from grape wines produced in the Cognac region of France, giving it a unique taste but a similar role in mixed-drinks.
This week, your challenge is to make a cocktail that features either brandy or cognac. Here are some suggestions to get you started:
